President Obama Moves us Forward While Governor Walker Takes us Backwards

Rep. Brett Hulsey made this statement before President Obama‟s State of the Union speech tonight:

“President Obama led us out of one of the worst recessions since the Great Depression to create three million job in 22 months. President Obama and the Democrats helped General Motors move from bankruptcy to lead the world in auto sales.

Sadly, Governor Walker has taken Wisconsin backwards. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said, „For the second half of last year, Wisconsin continues to shed jobs as the nation continues to add them.‟ The chart below shows we have lost more than 35,000 jobs since Governor Walker and the GOP‟s extreme budget took effect last July, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and WI Department of Workforce Development.

We need to re-elect President Obama to keep America working and recall Governor Walker to get Wisconsin working again.”
